OJSC Samaraenergo electric power sales and power at the Arena Exchange Bring the Company to 8th Position Among Russian Energy Supply and Energy Utility Companies

The OJSC Arena Exchange has compiled a league table of power trading participants in 2009. OJSC Samaraenergo took 8th place in the «Buyer» category. In total 121 energy supply and energy utility companies were listed. The main criterion for evaluating participants was the index of maximum amount of energy purchase transactions.
ARENA Exchange is an electric power industry commodity exchange under the aegis of which participants conclude non-regulated electricity and capacity trading agreements. In 2009 OJSC Samaraenergo concluded 68 power supply contracts at Arena Exchange. OJSC Volga Territorial Generating Company became the largest supplier.
When the Exchange prepared the table of participants in the wholesale market for electricity and power on the basis of the results of energy trading in 2009 the high volume of activity and the professionalism of OJSC Samaraenergo specialists was noted, particularly of analysts and specialists of the Commercial Center who participated in 2009 trading sessions, developing regulations and registering transactions. The General Director of OJSC Arena Commodity Exchange S. I. Trofimenko congratulated General Director of OJSC Samaraenergo M.v. Soyfer and his team on the high results achieved and expressed his hope for further cooperation to benefit the development of the Samara District electric power industry.
