OJSC «Samaraenergo» has started implementing its planned development and introduction of an electronic document management system
OJSC «Samaraenergo» is the largest power supply company of the Middle Volga Region, and at the present time it is developing its business by increasing volumes of electric power to consumers and by improving the quality of services provided to its clients. In view of the above, the requirement that the company be efficiently managed also increases. In order to reach a new level of management efficiency, the company’s top management took the decision to automate its document flow.
The company I-Techo has well-developed expertise and substantial experience with project implementation in this field. It won an open competition to provide services of developing and implementing an electronic document management system at OJSC «Samaraenergo». OJSC «Samaraenergo» chose EMC Documentum, a leading industrial platform building systems to manage company information, as the technological basis for its solution. The transparent integration of an electronic document management system into the IT infrastructure of OJSC «Samaraenergo» will make it possible to cut expenses for the implementation and to improve the efficiency of IT use in the company.
The electronic document management system is intended to improve quality and efficiency of management decision making and to ensure transparent operations of the company. After the system is put into operation, it is expected to considerably reduce the time it takes to reconcile documentation, reduce labor intensity and operating costs of work with documents and to considerably improve the efficiency of data exchange between structural divisions of OJSC «Samaraenergo», all of which will make it possible to improve the productivity of staff operations.
